Launch of BCitizeN, with Matthew Tree, Alessandro Scarnato and Krystyna Schreiber

The launch will include a debate on Barcelona as seen by the foreigners who are residents in the city. Join the celebration of the launch of BCitizeN on Wednesday 31 May at 7.30pm at Craft BCN.

Our association has been active for over a year, organising meetings and conferences on the subject of Barcelona. The time has now come for its presentation to the broader public in order to engage all those who are interested in BCitizeN or feel identified with the project.

The event will be opened by the President of the Association, German born El·la Mogler, who, after twenty years living here, considers Barcelona to be her home. The presentation will be followed by a debate on “Barcelona as seen by its foreign residents”. English author Matthew Tree, who is a regular contributor on Catalan media, and Italian architect, Alessandro Scarnato, autor of the award winning “Barcelona Supermodelo, La complejidad de una transformación social y urbana (1979-2011), will share their views. The debate will be chaired by German journalist Krystyna Schreiber, citizen of Barcelona, who has an in depth knowledge of Catalan society and is a member of BCitizeN. We hope this will be the chance to bring forward ideas, do some networking, share interests and synergies, on the backdrop of the city of Barcelona. See you there!
